The world’s largest peer-to-peer car sharing service is headed to Perth.

Dubbed the 'AirBnB for cars', Turo Australia's main point of different is their focus on hiring luxury cars.

Ex-Uber executive and Turo managing director Tim Rossanis says the new service is perfect for those who have ever dreamed about driving down to Margaret River in a Mercedes convertible, for example.

He told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the business already had major success in North America and Britain.

"We've been doing it globally for 13 years, so we've learnt all the tricks along the way," he said.
