New Nationals Party leader David Littleproud wants to reset his party’s agenda to end the climate wars and instead pursue a market-based solution to guide farmers through the challenges of global warming.

He told 6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett Australia has gone through "a hell of a lot in the past two years" and the Liberals and Nationals needed to form a pathway forward for the Coalition to be successful at the next election in 2025.

"Peter Dutton and myself will have to work collaboratively together... we can't win in isolation, the Liberals can't win in isolation... there will some severe lessons," he said.
