State Agriculture Minister, Alannah MacTiernan has responded to concerns raised on Perth Live on Wednesday that WA farmers will have nowhere to store their grain due to a backlog in clearing the silos from last year's harvest. 

"It is true that we have had this most incredible surge in production - normally a good season is around 16-17 million tons - and this year we are on track for around 23-24 tons, so as you can imagine as this has been so far out of the ordinary that this has put the supply chain under a lot of stress," she told Oliver Peterson on Thursday afternoon.

"We have been working with CBH to build capacity - so there is no doubt that they will be able to receive all the grain and place it in this temporary storage."
