Two days ago, it was announced the state government would expand the use of the Perth Parking levy to non-transport-related projects, however, new information has revealed the lack of transparency by the Government.
It has been revealed, Western Australia's transport minister Rita Saffioti made these changes due to the Auditor General discovering the money was going to be used for conditionally approved non-transport related projects.
Millions of dollars from the City of Perth taxpayers will now be allowed to be spent how the government sees fit.
Oliver Peterson labelled the government's handling of the funds as "sneaky" and "dishonest".
