You have to kidding? almost the entire first term of Trump the left has been talking about things that either not happening or not going to happen. They spent almost 3 years talking about collusion that did not happen and today AOC is still bringing up impeachment, which is not going to happen. AOC being primaried is much more likely to happen.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) continues to be the gift that keep giving. After tweeting about the price of a breakfast pastry in a New York airport and how we should be ready and willing to pay workers $15/hour she get truth and reality dumped on her head.
The left is really missing the point. They can not see what the reality of their present is and how it figures into their future. the more they whine about Trump, the more Trump they are going to get. Kinda like, " Stop crying before I give you something to cry about! "
In 1960 I think the conversation to had was pretty easy, avoid White folks if you could. I don't think that it is that easy in 2019. Improvement in race relations and the nuisance of life make the conversation more difficult. The conversation must start off with talking about the nature of people. One of the hottest topics on the political hot plate is Campaign Finance Reform. Which ever side is getting the asses beat wants to slow down the flow of funds to the other side. Political parties have found that this class warfare is easy to sell to the electorate. Most of you are sold a bad guy and that person becomes the picture of evil as it refers to out of control campaign spending. We must look deeper into this topic to see if we or our neighbors might become the collateral damage of this high-stakes game.
President Trump may have over-estimated his deal-making talents when it comes to political ideologues. In most business deals both sides understand that they will not get everything they want from the outset. In the political game when dealing with the virulent left, full victory is the only thing, with the destruction of your enemy. Trump may not have taken this into consideration when he stepped into the Oval Office. Because on 2 very large pieces of his over-arching agenda he has failed. The bad timing of funds for the Border Wall was terrible for sure but the amateurish failure on the repeal of Obamacare is almost too much to take.
It wasn't as much what box Chicago voters checked off but the number of boxes that Lori Lightfoot checked off with Chicago voters. Female - Check, Black - Check, Democrat - Check, Lesbian - Check! Lori Lightfoot is the crossroad of the oppressed and now she is the Mayor of the nation's 3rd largest city.
It has taken 50 plus years but students are calling for segregation again on college campuses. Jim Crow was dead and now is being revived by White Progressives.
This is yet another miscalculation made by President Trump. He waited too long to get Obamacare repealed. Under the best conditions, it was going to be tough to get enough Republicans to go along with him and now, It will be impossible. It isn't that the American public like the ACA more than they did before they just hate change more than anything. So talk of replacing is causing them to avoid the pain of change.
The left has laid out the path to the throne! If you want to be "King of the Blacks." Just deny your whiteness. It is more than just admitting White privilege. You have to go the full Monty and hate your whiteness. But, you must notify all the Black people you know that you have this mental disorder!
Even after Nancy Pelosi as President Trump to delay or even cancel this year's says Union Address due to security concerns brought on by the government shut down President Trump at sent the speaker a letter saying that he will accept her invitation deliver the State of the Union Address to the American people before I joint set up Congress on the 29th.
Over the past few days President Trump offered Democrats an olive branch to end the now record government "shutdown" but they flatly refused. It should be clear to everyone by now, this is about not giving President Trump a "win" of any kind. Democrats are will to let collateral damage pile up. They know that media will blame Trump.

Some well-meaning White people have introduced the concept of being color-blind. You've heard them, they swear that they "don't see color" Unless you have had your eyes poked out, you see color. I hear from people all the time that the Democrats of their parents are not the same as the Democrats they see now. That is a correct observation. The Republican party you see not your parents' Republican party either. Friends most of us are playing checkers at this multi-plane chess match.
That explains the cognitive dissonance we are experiencing most of the time.
Can I really "get behind" all of what these people are saying and doing? Most of the time for most of us the answer is no. But we feel like we are stuck. We have certain policies that we can not move on like abortion that traps us in one camp or the other.

The spin on this election is going to be incredible. Now, remember it is about what I said it be. The out of power party traditionally gain house seats in the midterm. That happened. I was not a "Wave of Blue." Facts are ( math really) states that one party must have 218 seats to "win" the house. According to CNN Democrats have 222 seats a plus 4 majority. Slim by any measure. But Democrats are really good about sticking together and not breaking ranks.
There was no "Red Wave," that was NEVER going to happen. That was just some Facebook nonsense.

Conservatives too quick to raise any celebrity minority to hero status that doesn't buy the liberal thing hook line and sinker. Today's conservatives are as enamored by celebrity as the rest of the culture. My observation comes by what we are seeing with Kanye West's seeming backing off his political stand.
The glee of conservative types when Kanye donned the #MAGA hat and hugged the president was that of a school girl meeting their celebrity crush. White conservatives even started calling Kanye West, "The Face of the Black Conservative Movement!"
Anyone ever heard of these people?
Walter E. Williams, Thomas Sowell, Alfonzo Rachel, Shirley Husar, Star Parker, Jessie Lee Peterson, C.L. Bryant and countless others that have been on the frontlines of the Black Conservative movement for years. Brothers and Sisters that have put in the work. But it is Kanye that steals the headlines and gets the attention?
The practice of awarding insta-hero status is folly and insulting to people that do the work every day in places the White conservatives don't have the nerve to go to or talk to people that White conservatives have ignored for years.
There are a plethora of constitutional changes proposed in this year's Florida ballot. Many are written in a vague manner to keep anyone but those that will benefit directly from having a deep understanding of the full effect of these changes. Today we have world famous legal patriot Krissanne Hall on to weed through this mess.
I have taken some time to weigh in on the Kanye West White House visit. So very much has been said I thought I would wait until I could get a better handle on where people seem to be about this. I think like in most things these days it is rarely the thing we are seeing that is the issue and this is the same in my opinion.
It is more the IDEA that Kanye West, Jim Brown, Candance Owens, et. al. would publicly attach themselves to President Trump.
It has been fine as long as Black Republicans stayed on the DL, but now that more Blacks of note are making their position known, the left seems to be a great deal more sensitive to it.
Getting out of the echo chamber is a good thing for your mind and your spirit. Too often we just find ourselves parroting the agenda of the jersey we are wearing.
Today I felt shaking things up and taking on those hard stares.

This morning I hope to bring you something that maybe you had not thought about concerning what we are hearing and seeing due to the fight to confirm or not confirm Brett Kavanaugh.
This is a very sensitive subject and my hope to make sure it gets treated like by me today.
I am not a professional in this area so, these are questions I have that maybe we can gently walk through.
I want to talk about projection.
I trust we can have a discussion.
It has been since the 1960's have we seen such political upheaval. Some of the issues were different, the war in Viet Nam was front and center in most protest while our involvement in the Middle East hardly gets a mention. Race, of course, is still a protest go-to and now attacks on capitalism are more prevalent.
So might say that the 1960's propelled us into the life we are living today and thus were effective. Others might say that it was just a brief youthful rebellion and things settled down and what we are seeing today is the same or similar.
No matter the side of the aisle you are on during this circus that is the Kavanaugh hearings what you should be wary of is that we are at this level of discourse in government and as a society.
Accusations are enough to ruin a person's life.
It is the heinousness of the accusation that matters most NOT the evidence.
The burden of proof has shifted from the one bring accusations to the accused.
Trust me this is NOT how any of us want to run a country of a judicial system.
You may hate Trump and everything Trump but you need to take a step and look at this particular case. Put yourself on the other side for just a second.
Would any of us survive the pressure of these attacks?
Well, here in this community we hear that we must elect Black politicians in order to be sure Black communities are represented. I live in a pre-clearance district which is really a "set-aside" for Black communities. The thought is that Black communities need/want Black leadership. What I want to talk about is there any evidence that having Black elected officials have been beneficial in Black communities.
This is not a conversation that is designed to disparage anyone or to suggest that all Black elected officials are bad. What I hope to get across is the importance of accountability. Black communities IMO do not hold Black politicains accountable to a high enough degree.
Today's political environment is highly charged. It is super easy to set off bombs with just the wrong phrase. It seems people are on a "hair-trigger" anymore. Almost everyone is ready to shout you down at the drop of a hat. I wonder sometimes about the content and the context of most political rancor. I wonder is it ever have much to do with where and how I live. As a conservative Black man, I have long since stopped being a photo-op for politictWhite Republicans that barely knew what part of town I lived much less any of the real concerns of those living in the urban core.
When I was attending meetings and gatherings I would make sure that I was long gone before people started to gather on the stage to take pictures with the guest speaker.
At first, I was of the mindset that it was important that people saw a Black face at Republican meetings. I under the delusion it might encourage more conservative Black people to come out. I was all kinds of wrong and I got tired of being everyone's BBF ( Best Black Friend). So for a long time, I had no ties with tradition outlets for conservative politics other than my work here on BTR.
I also took a long look at my Democrat contemporry and wonder if they though the same thing I had. For some, our thought patterns on these matters were in synch.
So that brings me to the question should Black people still involve themselves in mainstream politics other than maybe voting.
I am sure you have seen or heard what is going on in Washington concerning the confirmation hearing of Brett Kavanaugh. Tonight I comment of this for the first time. It all seems insane to me on so many levels. but wait... THE PLOT THICKENS!!!
The Democrats seemingly over the top efforts to prevent Kavanaugh from being confirmed may work against them in the November elections. I am thinking that they need a campaign rallying effort and stopping Kavanaugh has been likened to protecting Roe V. Wade and the right to murder children.
Today I will talk about the number of conversations I see being had in a myriad of places by a myriad of people. There is so much conversation going on I have to wonder if anyone is listening?
Between the failing flailing media sources like FOX, MSNBC, CNN and the soon to be deceased entities like the Washington Post and New York Times combined with all of the conversations on social media from reasonable to rachet, much is being said. How do we sift out what we can use and what we can throw away?
Tied up in the maze of what is acceptable and offensive, I think that racism has taken a hit. What I mean is that the definition has been lost to an extent and is now this broad term to describe words and behavior that people just don't like,
Wow I have to say I have been in this game for a while and I did not see this coming in the way it has. I thought that pulling 2 to 3 percent of Black people into the conservative column every year was going to be the way forward for the foreseeable future. What I missed was the same thing everyone else missed. the rise of the 30-something non-liberal non-democrat Black person! More and more we are seeing that the counterculture amongst some young Black people is away from tradition democrat liberalism.
In the midst of the "woke" movement something unexpected has happened, more and more young Black people are deciding to think for themselves and speak out about it.
I long ago disconnected Republican and conservative. This is a connection made by the intellectually lazy and media. Over the time I have talked about such things I have learned that sometimes Republicans and conservatives have very little if anything at all in common.
One of the things that they do have in common is the practice of cannibalism. Well of the political type. We have talked about the concept of shoot the wounded before. But both groups are ripinge and ready in a Pharoh Fashion they are becoming good at eating their young too.

Patrick Wood is my guest today as e take a look into the dark side of technology's intrusion in medicine.
"Buy Black" is a phrase being used more and more by urban community activists. This phrase is being framed as racist and even hypocritical by some.
I am here today explain why this phrase is neither racist nor hypocritical.
In order for those that live in urban America to partake in the bounty that is America, we must take control of our economic lives and futures. We can no longer hope that whatever crumbs fall from the master's table will be enough to suffice or sustain us. The time has moved from wanting a "place at the table" to building and owning our own damn table!
As tired as I am about talking about the damned NFL thing I am learning something from it. Everyone is blinded. Blinded by their feelings, Blinded by their experiences. Blinded by their prejudices. Blinded and dug in. Simply not even interested in understanding any viewpoint but the one they have clung so tightly to.
Makes me wonder aloud if any of my work since 2008 has done a bit of good. I hear Black people I have around for nearly 10 years exposing that White people are inherently racists. I hear White people I've know an equal amount of referring to almost any young black man that does not hold their opinion as a thug and a loser.
So today here is what YOU'RE not getting. I'm exhausted.
We live in this theatre of distraction. As difficult as it is sometimes we must remain laser focused on the important job of keeping the flame of freedom and liberty lit for future generations.
The first year of the Trump presidecy has been an interesting study in what happens when people get what they think they wanted. Can conservatives look past and through the circus and see the real issues that must get accomplish during what I think will be the first and only Trump term.
I don't think he will want to run again. We also address that on this broadcast.

So karen Handel wins the special election in CD6 of Georgia. The media left has been making this and every special election since Trump won the White House refferendum on his policies. It would seem to me that is a narrative they should end today if they want to effectivly attack the president. Republicans have won each special election since Trump's win in Novemeber. What that says to me is that Trump's policies and agenda are America's policies and agenda. This may be very tough to hear for the "never Trumpers" but at this point it seems to be working out that way.
