In the next SIG Webinar Series, Manufacturing & Operations SIG in collaboration with Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing invites Professor Chandan Chowdhury, Senior Associate Dean and Practice Professor (Operations Management and Information Systems) to speak on “Impact of COVID-19 on the Manufacturing Eco-system”. The session was moderated by Col. Rajiv Bhargava, Associate Director, Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing, Indian School of Business.

Professor Chandan Chowdhury is a Senior Associate Dean and a Practice Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems at the Indian School of Business (ISB). He is also an Independent Director on the Board of Uno Minda, an Indian automotive multinational and IIM (Sambalpur).
Before joining ISB, he served three top multinationals as Managing Director and Country Manager (IFS, IBM and Dassault Systemes). Professor Chandan has also been a member of the Board of Directors in Dassault Systemes (India) and other subsidiaries of Dassault Systems.
Professor Chandan has an excellent blend of academia and industry. During his last academic stint, Dr. Chandan was a Professor, Dean (Academy), Chairman (Board of Research), and Member (Board of Governors) at NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering, established as a joint initiative between United Nations and Government of India in 1963).
Professor Chandan has been the recipient of numerous awards, and his special areas of interest are innovation and ‘Technology-Enabled Business Transformation”.
He is also an expert panel member at NITI Aayog, developing the Manufacturing India@2035 roadmap.
He is passionate about leveraging technology to make the world a better place to live in.

Colonel Rajiv Bhargava did his Post Graduate Program in Management from ISB in Strategy and Finance in 2011 and had a Masters in Defence Studies from Madras University. He did his graduation at the prestigious National Defence Academy. Currently, he is an Associate Director at the Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing and the Punj Lloyd Institute of Infrastructure at ISB, the two institutes set-up with MIT as an Associate Partner. Colonel Rajiv Bhargava is a prolific writer and has authored a book on defence offsets. His op-eds have been published in Economic Times, Mint and other newspapers. Colonel Rajiv Bhargava has interests in areas of innovation management and skilling and is passionate about studying the determinants that impact valuation of start-ups and MSMEs.
