Malcolm Duncan examines Mark’s gospel (Ch:11 v:12-15) where Jesus curses the fig-tree, challenges the moneylenders and encourages the disciples to have faith. Each of these instances is characterised by exclusivity in some respect: this passage challenges us to greater openness with God if we’re closed in community, we cannot grow in God …individually or as a church family. We have a choice to be open to others…..how will we respond to that?
