The Gospel of Mark (06) "Jesus: Authority over Sickness and Death" Todays passage demonstrates Jesus' authority over sickness and even death, as revealed in the healing of the haemorrhaging woman and the raising of the dead daughter of Jairus. In this passage we see again that others were powerless to resolve the problems and that Jesus alone is able to help the woman and the girl. We also see the compassion and tenderness of Jesus - he is deeply touched by human needs.
