The pain of the writer is clear as he describes the significance of the terrible destruction of the city - and yet in the midst of this desperation, he finds the Lord. Do we see any pain and destruction in our own lives, and perhaps mourn over the things which have caused this? Do we ask for Gods forgiveness and then allow ourselves to rediscover trust and hope in Him?
