What Is Trigger Finger or thumb
A Trigger Finger or thumb is the painful locking or catching of a finger or thumb when they are bent.
It can affect any finger, and can affect more than one finger at a time
It can also occur in both hands at the same time
If it occurs in the thumb, it is called a trigger thumb
The medical name for it is stenosing tenosynovitis.
Trigger Finger Symptoms
A painful clicking or snapping when you bend or straighten your finger
A popping or clicking as you move your finger
A locked finger that you can’t straighten
A straight finger that you can’t bend
Soreness or a bump at the base of the finger or thumb
