SIMPLICITY: AN ANECDOTE TO CHAOS“KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID”Simplicity is a difficult in this day and age to be cognizant of with regards to business. We over conflate our capacity to not only do many tasks but, in the spirit of maximizing quantity, we often forfeit its maximum quality.In the aforementioned statement above, I want to iterate that stupidity in this context is synonymous with disorganization and a prideful assumption that you are able to exist in overcomplicating things.The harsh reality is, we get one life, one day, one moment as it is granted to us.We have time, energy and focus which we can utilize to be effective people in our lives, places of employment, and in our sense of purpose.With each microcosm of decision that we overlook the simple path forward, we allot the chain reaction of chaos to ensue within our lives.We divert in our standards. We say yes to too many people and menial tasks. We load our schedules with every opportunity to fill it with activities so we seem like we are flourishing.But if you awoke one day, did each thing you set to do to unto completion, and to do it well, what would your day and way of life be consisting of?The key to a peaceful life is one that appropriately allocates your body, time, resources, energy, skill sets and purpose to a life that is zoned into the absolutely essential. It’s not bound, but rather properly liberated to be content, not wanting for what it has not, and devoted to few things well, but not stretched to where it is no longer effective.Do all you do, with all you are.Stop half measuring due to laziness , apathy, or comparison.Choose simplicity, choose order, choose to live peaceably and well. Not only for this moment, not only for this day, but the ones who are to come. That they might cultivate a simple, and peaceful world.
