JORDAN PETERSON: CYCLIC BEHAVIOR.Not closed, not complete, not truly dealt with.“When you start something, see it through.”Don’t ensnare yourself with civilian affairs.Let your yes be yes and no be no.This can apply from the smallest feat to the greatest extent of your capacity. It demands attention, discipline, and resolve to take on.This week, cultivate this in yourself. Each task that you become conscious of, see it through. Don’t pick up your phone. Don’t turn on the music. Don’t start a new project/task. You may suck at it or it may take you longer. But you will know, you did it properly. Further, don’t be just finishing, try aiming the greatest version of what you’re doing. Become enthralled with what is given to you today. In this, you create character, stability, trust with yourself and others, and the wherewithal to be the best you can be. This concept may seem simple, but you are calling to the inner depths of your being to clean those dishes, do your job, restore/resolve that relationship, finish the exercise despite your mental weakness. By learning to do this in yourself we learn to evoke it from those around us. By setting the standard and not wavering from what is required of us.Close the loop.
