Does Sen. Chuck Schumer support blocking Supreme Court nominees or not? It seems to depend on who’s president at the time. Doc revisits Schumer’s stance in 2007, when he supported blocking any nominees from then-President George W. Bush. In 2016, Schumer changed his tune when he said the Senate should confirm the Obama nominee, Merrick Garland, just months before the presidential election. And now that another justice will likely be confirmed under the Trump administration, Schumer is changing his tune again.
