Christian = we are disciples

👉Being a disciple is very different than being a Christian. (Christianity is hard to define / disciples it’s very clear) Acts 11:26

Disciples = learner / apprentice / follower / I want to be like Jesus / where you going that’s where I am going.

Want you life to straighten up?

You have to put God first.

God will not be second in our lives.

Ways to put God first:

1. Reprioritizing our time for God
2. Realign ourselves with God
3. Restructure our life to include God

Matthew 17:14-20

1. Unbelieving - far from God
2. Perverse - close to the world

This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

When we get close to God we start thinking like God ❤️

The answer to any of your issues is simple.

Prayer and Fasting

1. Prayer brings us closer to God
2. Fasting distances us from the world

Time to push away from the world and push toward Jesus.

Matthew 6 shows us what it looks like to be a disciple. #whenyou

• When you give v.3 soul
• When you pray v.5 spirit
• When you fast v.16 body

If we gave our body everything it craved. We would be dead.

Our soul is mind will and emotions -

What if I just let my emotions run my life? I would be miserable and alone.

If I let my spirit be in charge - I will come closer to God

Emotions lie.

Faith works against our feelings most often.
