He, his wife and son are struggling right now and thanks to Branford Building Supplies will make sure the family is set with boots, gas and groceries.
Roxanne nominated her niece Deirdre for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Deirdre is a teacher in Bridgeport, with a broken car and electric stove. Even with her own hardship, she still buys gifts or supplies for her students. Thanks to Griffin Health we're going to help get Deirdre a new stove.
Joanne nominated her friend Marianne for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Marianne's daughter has been undergoing treatment for lymphoma and a bone marrow transplant. Marianne is a single mom and is covering the cost of insurance and medical bills herself. Thanks to Metroguard Security and Risk Management, we're going to help pay some medical bills for Marianne.
Carol nominated her friend Joanne for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Joanne and her husband have lots of health issues right now, while taking care of their six grandchildren who live with them. She really wants a special Christmas for the grandchildren and thanks to Sono Collision we're able to help with food and presents for the holiday!
Richard nominated for his friend Steven a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Stephen has a degenerative eye disease and is now legally blind. Steven struggles to together meals for dinner. Caroline nominated friend Colleen for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Colleen is battling cancer, having in-home medical treatments and trying to stay strong for her kids. Thanks to BMW of Darien we're going to get Colleen and her family gift cards to get presents and a nice meal for the holiday.
Rachel nominated her son's friend Matt for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Matt's mom left when he was in elementary school and he's been raised by his father. After his father was diagnosed with cancer Matt left school to take care of him. Sadly, his father lost his battle with cancer this November. Thanks to Santa Energy, we'll be able to get Matt some supplies to make this holiday season a little brighter.
Kelly nominated her friend Joanne and her son Michael for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. She takes care of her autistic son and are need of clothes and more for the holidays. Thanks to D'Addario Cadillac, D'Addario Buick/GMC and D'Addario Nissan of Shelton.
Amy nominated her friend Rebecca for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Rebecca's daughter was killed as a result of domestic violence. She now has custody of her grandson and needs a fresh start this holiday season. Thanks to Andersen Windows and Doors, we're able to help Rebecca clothes, toys, a new bike, and groceries for the holiday.
Donna nominated her daughter Sarah for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Sarah has been a single mom since she was 18 years old. She and her daughter were in a severe car accident this fall. Sarah is a cancer nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital and since suffering injuries in the accident they can't work and are without a car. Thanks to Brown Roofing, we're able to help Sarah get some Christmas gifts and food for Christmas Day.

Amy nominated her mom Deborah for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Her 73-year-old mom was diagnosed with cancer this spring and has been in treatment since. She goes to radiation five days a week, but doesn't drive because the chemo has really hurt her vision. Amy and her brother help get her to her appointments, but it's a lot when Amy is working full time. Thanks to The Griffin Center for Cancer Care and Griffin Health, we're able to get Deborah a nice wig and Uber gift cards to help with transportation.
Kathy nominated for Gloria a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Gloria has been helping her daughter raise her 15-year-old son and has had many medical issues this year including a heart attack, surgeries and more. This past September, there was a fire in her condo and they were displaced to a hotel for a month. Kathy's wish is for Gloria to have a new dryer in her condo. Thanks to Tony Aitoro and Aitoro Appliance of Norwalk, we're able to grant her wish!
Deborah nominated her son-in-law Alex and his three children for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Alex has three children, and unfortunately he lost his job earlier this year and was then evicted from their home. The three children have been sleeping on air mattresses since their eviction and thanks to Spector Furniture & Mattress Gallery we'll be getting the children new mattresses.
Linda nominated Susan for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Susan's brother and his wife were charged with child abuse and to prevent their children from going to foster care, Susan took in all four children. She went from being single to having four kids! The kids are doing great with Susan, but Linda wanted to help with Christmas gifts this year. Christy nominated a family in Bridgeport who recently lost everything in a house fire for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. All of their personal items has been destroyed and the mom just wants a good Christmas for her kids this year. Thanks to East Haven & Ridgefield Building Supply with Boise Cascade, we'll help to replenish clothing and toys for the children this holiday.
Irene nominated Louisa for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Louisa is a cook at a nursing facility and goes out of her way to know every resident. She is also the primary caregiver for her brother who is not well. Thanks to Home Comfort Practice, we'll be able to get Louisa some special gifts & treats under the tree this year.
Toni nominated Nelda for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Nelda's been having a difficult time walking, as well as getting up and down. Nelda's husband is a huge help with cooking and cleaning, but they are both older. Thanks to Griffin Health, we're able to get her a reclining lift chair so she can get up on her own and give her some independence.
Kathleen nominated Cristina for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Cristina's brother's wife passed away and he now has stage 4 brain cancer, with Cristina's family trying to support his children and bringing him to appointments. Thanks to Brown Roofing, we're going to make sure Cristina has enough holiday gifts for everyone as well as food for the holidays.
Jane nominated her friend Sophia for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Sophia has had some medical issues this year, including a heart attack and struggles with diabetes. Her husband hasn't been able to work for a while due to severe back pain. Thanks to Attorney Paul Ganim, we're gifting Sophia a relaxing spa day and also plenty of groceries in time for the holidays.
Lisa nominated her family member Blanche for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Blanche's son passed away from cancer a couple of years ago and since then, she is raising her 12-year-old granddaughter. Her husband was recently diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and is in strong need of a chairlift. Thanks to Collins Accessibility Solutions, we are going to grant Lisa's Christmas Wish and install a chairlift in their home.
Kaitlyn nominated Zhane for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Zhane got diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer and immediately had to get a double mastectomy. She was just about to start a job before her treatment. She is a single mom to her two sons and is a very loving mother. Thanks to Ring's End, we're able to help give the kids winter clothes, presents, and groceries.
Sam nominated Cindy for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Cindy has lupus and is battling cancer, but even in the midst of her struggles she has rescued two animals and recently even saved a stranger's life! Being on disability, Cindy lives on a very limited budget and puts her dogs before herself. Thanks to Curran Volkswagen, we're able to give Cindy groceries and pet food.
Mersene nominated her friend who recently lost his wife during childbirth for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Thanks to Temple Lodge 65 Westport, we'll be able to help him and his four-month-old and five-year-old daughters to help to make the holidays a little bit brighter.

Charmaine works with the elderly or disabled and always take the extra step to ensure comfort, while also taking care of her four children at home. Denise nominated Amy for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Amy had complications with her pregnancy and had an emergency C-section 10 weeks early in August. Her son is still in the NICU. Amy goes to visit him every day at the hospital and is in need of new tires for her car. Thanks to Griffin Health, we're able to help Amy travel more safely to see her newborn son.
Melanie nominated Yaniel for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Yaniel is a technician who recently been told he will need a heart transplant at just 30 years old. Yaniel is a father to three kids and Melanie wanted to help cheer up their holiday. Thanks to Duchess Restaurants, we're able to make it a bright Christmas for Yaniel's family.
Christine nominated her son's teacher Christina for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Christina is a teacher who works with kids on the autism spectrum. She spends a lot of her own money for the classroom and has fallen behind on some payments. Thanks to Chevrolet of Milford, we'll provide cash for Chrissie to use to catch up on some bills.
Michelle nominated the Ciola children for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Their mother Jess was tragically killed the weekend after Thanksgiving in a car accident. She would've been 47 years old this Christmas Eve. They had already lost their father two years ago. Michelle wishes for them to have a nice catered meal to celebrate the holiday, as well as gift cards for any purchases they may need. Thanks to Palmer's Market, we will make the wish come true.
Sharon nominated her friend Mariell for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Marielle gave birth to her third son a month ago and as soon as she's released from the hospital her husband was rushed to the hospital and is in need of a heart transplant. She's trying to take care of her two sons and newborn, while also spending time at the hospital with her husband. Thanks to East Haven Ridgefield Building Supply and PPG Paints, we're going to take care of some food for the holiday season, presents, and diapers.
Michelle nominated Elizabeth for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Elizabeth's husband had a stroke right after Thanksgiving and is fighting for his life in the hospital right now. She's unable to work as she's taking care of their three children. Thanks to Dichello Distributors, we're able to provide presents, groceries, and gas cards so Elizabeth can make the trips to the hospital. We'll also get some food and treats for their two dogs and cat.
Vee nominated Rudy for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Rudy's wife Violeta was a VA nurse and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She passed away two years after her diagnosis. Rudy has two daughters, a three-year-old and a 14-year-old. Thanks to East Haven Ridgefield Building Supply and Andersen Windows, we're getting Rudy groceries and gifts for the children.
Mark nominated Dominic for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Dominic's 2.5 year old daughter was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in September. Dominic and his girlfriend spend a lot of time driving back and forth to the hospital to be with their daughter. Thanks to the Ridgefield Playhouse, we're granting Mark's wish and giving them gas cards, groceries, gifts and more.
Mina nominated her neighbor Liane for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. LeAnn's husband moved out of state and now bills are piling up. She has two children, one is on the autism spectrum and one has spina bifida. Between medical bills, insurance, food, and everything else, there's nothing left over for presents this holiday. Lisa nominated her friend Suzanne for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Suzanne had a brain tumor partially removed a couple of years ago, but still suffers from seizures. She relies on her mother to drive and help with her two children. Now Suzanne's mother also needs treatment for cancer, which will leave them without any mode of transportation for the kids. Thanks to Big Y, we'll be able to provide groceries and gifts for Christmas morning.
Dawn nominated her friend Jen for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Jen lost her husband very suddenly, leaving behind three children. He had a heart attack while out to dinner with his children. Dawn's son is best friends with Jen's 10-year-old son and wanted to help with gifts, bills, and groceries. Hope nominated Aleah for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. She has twin boys that were born prematurely, with one requiring surgery to fix a hole in his esophagus. She's trying to get her sons into Bright Beginnings daycare and is struggling to pay the deposit. Thanks to the Brothers of Westport Masonic Lodge Temple 65, we're able to cover the deposit for both boys.
Elizabeth nominated her friend Danielle for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Danielle recently lost her husband. She has four children, ranging from 5 to 11-years-old. Elizabeth's wish is for toys for the children and help making their Christmas morning a bit more cheerful. Thanks to Griffin Health, they'll have toys and groceries for the holiday.
Frank nominated the Babcock Family for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. Mr. Babcock served in Vietnam, worked at the post office for years, and developed cancer a couple of years ago due to Agent Orange exposure in the Vietnam War. Joanne nominated 29-year-old Joshua for a WEBE108 Griffin Health Christmas Wish. He was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and has had to stop working. Thanks to Ring's End, we're able to grant her Wish and get Joshua and his four-year-old son Jackson new winter clothes. We'll also make sure Jackson has some presents to open on Christmas.
Valerie nominated a family she works with in her school district for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. The mom and dad are not able to work and all five children all have special needs. While cleaning their attic, Eric accidently fell through the stairway door and was left paralyzed from the neck down. He is now in a rehab facility in New York and Danielle drives to see him every day. Florencia nominated her friend Carrieann for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. Carrieann lost her husband, days before her twins' 13th birthday. She's been struggling with financial burdens as a newly single mother and the boys' first Christmas without their father. Stephanie nominated her niece Brittany and her son Devin for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. Baby Devin was born with a club foot, which requires weekly leg castings. Kathy nominated her friend Roger for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. Roger and his son are living in a trailer after Roger was diagnosed with a brain tumor and is no longer able to work. Roger and his son will be getting propane to keep them warm this winter. They'll also get new mattresses from Spector Furniture & Mattress Gallery and gift cards to Target for new clothes and food.
Julie nominated her coworker Sarah for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. Sarah is a single mom to three kids who's been struggling. Jody nominated Emmus for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish after Emmus saved her son's life last year. Jody's son got his head stuck in a car window, and Emmus heroically freed him from the window. Her son was in a coma for two weeks, but luckily survived. A truly incredible story! Dolores' son Andrew passed away from a heart condition at only 40 years old. Andrew was a single dad and now Dolores and her husband are caring for the children. Dawn nominated her friend Lauren for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish after Lauren was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. While going through chemo Lauren also contracted Covid. Lauren is a single mom who is still trying to work while recovering to pay for bills and groceries. We're gifting Lauren some gift cards for presents, groceries and more.
Laurie nominated her friend Elizabeth for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. She and her husband had adopted two boys, but then she was diagnosed with cancer a year ago. While recovering from two surgeries, Laurie wanted to give them some help to alleviate some stress. They'll have toys for Christmas, presents for her husband, and gift cards to DoorDash and Duchess Restaurants.
Kathleen nominated her father Charles for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. At just 53 years old, Charles was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's and had to retire early because of his condition. Six months ago, he was diagnosed with liver cancer and has been recovering from surgery in the ICU. Thanks to Collins Medical Equipment, we are able to give Charles a lift chair so he can return home and recover with his family.
Fran's coworker Christine nominated her for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish after Fran lost her husband to leukemia and Covid. Fran has two twin boys, one of whom has Autism and had to be placed outside of the home. Fran was also recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is struggling financially and emotionally. Thanks to TrinityPoint Wealth, we are able to give Fran Christmas dinner from Riverview Bistro, money for bills and gas, as well as gift cards to Duchess Restaurants.
Deb from The Center for Family Justice nominated a 15-year-old boy who is in need of a new wheelchair. He's been in the same chair since he was a child and we're so happy to give $1,000 to help get him a new chair. Melody has been battling metastatic breast cancer and has had to take unpaid time off from work to recover from various surgeries. Mark nominated his father-in-law Russ for a WEBE108 Maritime Chevrolet Christmas Wish. Russ is a Vietnam Veteran and lost everything after Hurricane Ida hit the CT coast this year and flooded his apartment. Puerto Rican Stuffing 3 green plantains 1 yellow plantain 5 garlic cloves crushed 1/2 pack thick cut bacon sliced into small pieces 1 large yellow onion chopped Salt pork belly 12oz sliced into very small pieces Salt and pepper to taste In a frying pan fry pork belly and bacon until crispy. Add onion and garlic until brown. Set aside. Now peel the plantains and slice into 1 inch. Fry until tender in the middle and a little golden on the outside. Drain and mash all the plantains in the bacon and pork mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.

My famous Jamaican curry chicken. Whole chicken cut up small, wash and clean. In a bowl, season chicken with curry, black pepper seasoning, salt, cayenne pepper, and a dash of cilantro. Also diced onions, peppers, red and green tomato, scallion and thyme. Mix it all up in the bowl with some water making it nice and rich. Then in a saucepan, add vegetable oil mixed with a dash of curry. (Make sure the oil is hot). Put pieces in one at a time and stir until lightly browned. Then all the seasoning that’s left in the bowl, pour over the chicken. Stir and let simmer until cooked.
HOLIDAY CARROT LOAF (EVEN THE GRANDKIDS LOVE IT)
1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter room temp
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 egg separated room temp
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tablespoon cold water
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups grated carrots - room temp
Cream butter and sugar
add all except carrots and egg whites
fold in carrots carrots
beat egg whites till stiff fold in
grease a small bundt pan and coat with bread crumbs put batter in and top with more bread crumbs
bake - 350 - 15 minutes
375 - 30 minutes
