Episode 5: Jake Sigal talks about his history and the work his company is doing to make the roads safer for all users. They are getting close to having a standard that allows many manufacturers produce products that allow bicycles to message (talk to) other vehicles and infrastructure like signage. One of the things I was impressed with was the breadth of the collaboration that Jake has managed to create between the Automotive, Bicycling and Planning organizations. And, Jake is a lifelong cyclist and has set up his twitter account to focus on cycling safety.
