Most Christians believe they will probably have to make a clean break between themselves and old friends they had before Jesus came into their lives. However, the author of Hebrews does not warn Jewish Christians to stay away from sinners. Instead, they are warned about the dire need to break off unhealthy ties with the religious crowd.
