In 1 John 4, the writer speaks about the importance of testing the spirits within and without of the church. He gives a helpful formula...does a person confess that Jesus really died on a cross for our sins, and is a person really trying to love one another. This isn't about who's in and who's out, but maybe more about how we can hold one another accountable.
