just over 10 years ago i put up a mixtape of Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti western soundtracks called A Gringo Like Ennio (luv112). when tackling a mixtape of Morricone’s compositions part of the challenge is what to choose, considering the hundreds of soundtracks he has composed. that’s why i chose all westerns for the first Ennio solo. a decade on here’s a second all Ennio mix, the theme : crime and suspense. a moody blend of movie music magic for those who love all things Ennio. image : Thammad Mead
