Compound protocol is a borrowing and lending platform created to allow users to earn a yield on their crypto, or borrow crypto to take short positions. Compound is built on the Ethereum blockchain, meaning that it will only work for tokens which are native to the Ethereum blockchain, otherwise known as ERC-20 tokens.Rather than borrowers and lenders having to find one another, Compound makes it simple by aggregating supply which borrowers can then pull from.
