The philanthropy industry is known to be a slow adopter of technology. So it’s no surprise that most small to midsize foundations, and their nonprofit counterparts, don’t have a CIO or CTO on their executive team. The MacArthur Foundation, an innovative Chicago funder, and industry giant, isn’t one of them.
