Well, it is a combination of things that got me to the point where I realized that we all need to share our experiences and know how learned through these experiences. When speaking with fellow Aussies about the coming uncertainties facing us in the very near future, along with the concept of prepping, often enough there was a tendency to mention how they saw some videos from The USA about this.
Further more, sometimes it was stated how things are much easier for Americans, namely in ref. to The Second Amendment as a common mention in all that. However, prepping is much more than just owning and knowing how to effectively use a rifle or any fire arm for that matter,
Sometimes when discussing these topics with family and friends, comments of how everything in Australia is "made in China", which is a load of pure and utter..... "rubbish" (among other things).
We have so many options out there that we just do not know how fortunate we really are and likewise, there is practically nothing out there that can't be purchased and shipped to Australia. (bar firearms).
So, yeah, we need to start getting our act together and stop making excuses when it comes to prepping. If anything, we have to start raising awareness and in a way, some of the responsibility lays on us who have been slowly and surely preparing over the past years.

The second part of the WHY is:
How do we look our kids in the eyes when one day we see them in a situation that they do not deserve to be in, yet we could have and should have taken measures to prevent it while it was still possible. & that is the part that got me to this point where I am openly talking about what all I have done, procured and learned during the course of getting ready (trying to get ready) aka prepping.
