This week we actually came prepared to talk about a big topic - unions in tech and in general. We discussed the Kickstarter union oral history podcast from the NYU Engelberg Center (https://eclive.engelberg.center), and a deeper discussion about when a union is good and what it means for tech. Denny also goes into depth about the hidden but different business models between Fedex and UPS, and how organized labor affects their bottom lines. Lastly, we cover briefly tech companies like Instacart firing all of their recently unionized workforce to look more like Fedex's franchise model.

This week is a short update on our progress, where we did not make much. Instead we did a diversion of updating Experiment's payment code. Did you know if you have working code and you let it sit for a long time, it will just rot because of some reason code must rely on other people's code. When that code changes, it breaks all your code. So working code left untouched will end up not working.

We also ate some local caught Taape fish, which are an invasive species to Hawaii.
