This week’s episode is fea­tur­ing more art than usu­al! We spoke with three indi­vid­u­als. At (1:07) we spoke with Erwin Hueb­n­er, artist-in-res­i­dence at the U of M school of art and recent­ly-retired biol­o­gy pro­fes­sor. He spoke about the recent open­ing of his art exhi­bi­tion titled, Outside the Boundaries: Explor­ing the Natur­al World Through Artist Books. New­ly appoint­ed dean of the Desau­tels fac­ul­ty of music Edward Jurkows­ki sat down for a quick chat with us (9:10) to talk about what brought him here and what he hopes to bring to the fac­ul­ty. Final­ly, we talked to Chris John­son (19:20), pro­fes­sor emer­i­tus and co-founder of the Black Hole The­atre Com­pa­ny. He is the direc­tor for their adap­tion of Hen­rik Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt, which is set to be per­formed at the 19th Roy­al Man­i­to­ba The­atre Com­pa­ny’s Mas­ter Play­wright Festival.
