This week’s episode fea­tures inter­views from U of M Spokesper­son John Danakas in regards to the uni­ver­si­ty’s pol­i­cy about cannabis use, giv­en the upcom­ing legal­iza­tion of cannabis in Cana­da. We also have audio from the Make Pover­ty His­to­ry Man­i­to­ba ral­ly that occured on Oct. 11, 2018, with inter­views from Man­i­to­ba NDP leader Wab Kinew and UMSU pres­i­dent Jakob Sander­son. Octo­ber is sus­tain­abil­i­ty month, and we had a chance to talk to Christie Nairn from the office of sus­tain­abil­i­ty here at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Man­i­to­ba, as well as two U of M stu­dents involved with sus­tain­abil­i­ty projects on cam­pus through the office of sus­tain­abil­i­ty. Final­ly, we spoke with an edi­tor from the Fem­i­nist and Queer Review, Adri­ana King, and head of the wom­en’s and gen­der stud­ies pro­gram at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Man­i­to­ba, Shaw­na Fer­ris. The Fem­i­nist and Queer Col­lec­tive had their launch par­ty cel­e­brat­ing the 10th anniver­sary edi­tion of their FAQ review.
