Canada’s @747 returns to Aquaregia with a two-track, dreamy and emotionally charged 303 record.A key contributor to Emily Nicoll’s Aquaregia, 747, known best for his ‘Aurora Centralis’ EP on the label, now finally reveals the much-anticipated ‘Veiltail / Stairway’ two-tracker, his first release on the imprint since 2021’s ‘While My 303 Gently Weeps’.Opening with the A-side, 747’s ‘Veiltail’ explores abyssal depths where distorted, crunchy synths echo like sonar pulses in the darkness. Solacing hymn-like pads gently weave through its otherworldly soundscapes, crafting a tale of introspection and longing and making for the perfect sunrise track, iconically heard in his early-hours set at Germany’s Fusion Festival last year.On the flip, ‘Stairway’ is guided by punchy, broken beats and a minor chord progression, its whining lead extending like a beacon.
