The parable of the laborers in the vineyard gives us an opportunity to think about the generosity of God, how God invites everyone to be included in God’s kingdom, and of God’s desire that everyone receive eternal life. We want to affirm that. Still, there are times when we think we know who deserves God’s grace and who doesn’t. We even sometimes think we have earned an extra dose of grace, which no longer makes it grace. This talk invites us to consider how we may sometimes presume on God’s grace.
