Day 277 of the podcast, reading Matthew 18-20 NET, read along at:

https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+18-20/

This is day 277 of our journey.

Jesus continues to contradict traditional thinking with a true interpretation of Scripture. "The greatest in the kingdom must become like a little child." "It is impossible for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven." "If you want to be great, become a servant!" Jesus outwits the teachers of the law again by answering a question about divorce in a way that is not only honest and true, but also cannot be used against him. Jesus later compares those who would follow him to workers in a field and assures us that all will receive an equal share in the kingdom of heaven, God is generous and chooses to reward the one who works for a lifetime the same as the one who comes to him late in life.
