This is day 242 of our journey.

Ezekiel speaks in these chapters using more object lessons. First, he compares Israel to a vine whose only value is to be burnt up as fuel. Then, he speaks of Israel as an adulterous bride. She was naked and alone as a child, but God took her in, bathed her, clothed her in fine clothes, adorned her with jewelry, and married her. Yet she used her beauty to serve herself up as a prostitute and did not remain faithful to him. Her punishment will come! Finally, he speaks of the king of Judah; he was graciously allowed to retain his local rule under the authority of the king of Babylon, but he rebeled and turned to Egypt for help, thus, Babylon will return and take him into captivity, he will die in exile.

Join me in Ezekiel 15-17 and grasp the severity of ignoring the word of the Lord.
