This is day 236 of our journey.
Today, we read Jeremiah's final prophecy. Babylon will eventually be destroyed and all the peoples that are in exile there will return to their homelands. God will not put up with their wickedness any longer. Jeremiah ends with an account of Jerusalem's downfall. King Zedekiah rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar, so Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the city and carried off every valuable thing and every person other than a few poor. God's wrath is finally fully poured out on the sins of his people.
Join me in Jeremiah 51-52 for the final chapters of Jeremiah.
