https://netbible.org/bible/Psalms+106-107/

This is day 181 of our journey.

Today we read the last psalm of Book 4 and the first psalm of Book 5.

Book 4 ends with Psalm 106. The psalmist recalls Israel's long history of rebellion against God despite his faithfulness and the mighty ways that he had protected and delivered them throughout the ages.  The psalm ends with a new prayer for deliverance, resting confidently on the faithfulness of the Lord.

The psalmist of Psalm 107 praises God for his kindness to his exiled people.  He recounts the many ways that the Lord has delivered and protected his people despite their shortcomings.

Join me in Psalms 106-107 to remember the ways that the Lord protects and defends his people.

Key verses:

Psalms 106:7

Our ancestors in Egypt failed to appreciate your miraculous deeds, they failed to remember your many acts of loyal love, and they rebelled at the sea, by the Red Sea.

Psalms 107:43

Whoever is wise, let him take note of these things!Let them consider the Lord’s acts of loyal love!
