On National Coming Out Day, we celebrate coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, (LGBTQIA+) or as straight allies. And as a school district, we celebrate our out students, staff and families and provide support to all of our queer youth.

To do that this year, some LGBTQIA+ MMSD staff and community members got together to send our students messages of love, encouragement, and PRIDE.

COMING OUT MATTERS. When people know someone who is LGBTQIA+, they are far more likely to support LGBTQIA+ equality, inclusion, and justice. Beyond that, our stories can be powerful to each other.
