Christmas is totally supernatural... all about unbelievable events and experiences, and we are invited to 'taste and see' for ourselves :-)

Entering the Promised Land means thinking like giants not grasshoppers. Embracing freedom demands a change of thinking and attitude - an end to a slave mentality....
Paul exhorts the Galatians to not continue to trust in human effort rather than the grace of God through Jesus and the Spirit. Consider again the metaphor of possessing the Promised Land....

How do we know what is genuine in spiritual and Christian truth... John provides a number of hallmarks of genuine Christian faith and they are all references to actions and lifestyle - not merely 'belief'...
God loves us lavishly.... it was the basis for John's life as a Christian after having spent time with Jesus.... A heart transformed by God's radical love, renews our thinking and impacts our lifestyles, priorities, and relationships
The world without Jesus is the difference between darkness and light... don't mix - like oil and water... The Kdm is accessed through Jesus on the Cross.... where grasshoppers die and giants are born.... if they will walk into their new identity with boldness
Entry into the Kdm is 'as a child' but not as an orphan... Jesus promised the Person of the Holy Spirit to be present for each one who chooses to follow him...
Jesus said that only those who changed and become 'as a child' would enter the Kingdom of God.... Hallmarks of openess, playfulness, trust, teachable, dependence, and uninhibited responses are some characteristics....
God's perspective on our lives is far more than we can ask or imagine... If we only release our agendas and controls and allow Him more freedom to take the initiative and lead us....
We don't come to God in prayer to get his attention. We come because we have his attention.
Becoming the new creation God intends us to be is a process we have to step into.... Not being discouraged by where we are but encouraged by what God still has for us to grow into...
Jesus lived from the Spirit within while all those around him responded to other priorities.... His crucifixion and resurrection opened up the way for a new Spirit within us to produce fruit we cannot grow naturally

Joshua was born into slavery, witnessed the power and grace of God... learned who God is as he followed Moses, spent much time in the Tent of Meeting learning of God and experiencing his presence..... Moved with God, obeyed, relationship and experience of....
Sometimes it is helpful to remember that we live in God's picture.... bigger than our understanding.... The extraordinary takes place amidst the mundane - as we walk in obedience as best we are able

The person of the Holy Spirit is the one who bears gifts to build the Kingdom - but they are not the tools or means of building like this world.... Jesus calls us to become like little children - open and teachable
The Holy Spirit is a person who Jesus sent to accompany all of those who respond to Jesus crucifixion. He was promised as the One who would follow Jesus and be with us just as Jesus was present with the disciples.

With so many voices competing - many of us maybe cherry-pick rather than allow God to help us get deeply rooted in Scripture and in a community.
We can only know the true love of a Father through the revelation of Jesus' life... But no matter how much we hear His 'Yes' we still have to respond
