Rick Passek, “The FlyFish Fanatic” has been fishing since he could hold a rod at 3 years old. He started FlyFishing in 1976 when he was just 7 years old, Taught by his father Karl Passek on the rivers in southern Alberta like The Highwood, The Bow, and The Oldman. At the age of 9, Rick and his family moved to the Vancouver area and he started to learn the art of FlyFishing for Salmon, Sea Run Cutthroat, Rainbow trout as well as any other fish that would take to the fly. At the age of 16, Rick's passion for stillwater flyfishing grew with the help of a close friend and his father. He started to study everything he could about FlyFishing techniques,history, fly tying and especially entomology.
