Nimrod appears to be the first king referred to in scripture and Babel, the city he founded, is likely the first government spoken of in scripture. Neither have very positive connotations but that's the point of this season. I get into the associations between Nimrod, his name, and his role and well as the motivations behind the Tower and the city of Babel itself. I also point out many parallels to Adam and Eve as well as modern culture.
