There is much to look into in relation to the Christian and the State but the focus here is on a relatively technocratic view of governing society through Christian values. Augustine's City of God is looked at for both the differentiation of the city of god and city of man and the role of the Christian within the latter. Calvin instituted a governance model in Geneva that was effective but not without issue. Lastly, the theology / philosophy of theonomy is explored for their take on how the kingdom of God is manifested through some melding with secular government.
