The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov gives a very good picture of what soft technocracy looks like, and even how it compares with and pairs with more material and openly structured technocracy. As with the book covered in the previous episode, Brave New World, The Foundation has more recently been made into a TV series. These are not a replacement for the books and definitely skim over many of the main points that get brought out of the books. Enjoy.
