So many have made the announcement that they are coming out as gay or Trans. My question is why? Why do people feel like they they have to publicly announce this? Who's business is it anyway? I think it's shameful that we live in a society where people feel like they have to publicly share such personal information about themselves in order to be accepted by society or to feel some sort of freedom or self validation. If I were to announce that I'm coming out as straight people would say that I sound ridiculous actually nobody would really give a damn. So why is it that someone coming out as gay or otherwise such headline news? People should be free to live their truth without having to explain it to society. It's sad that so many people feel like they even need to be validated by society. What say you?
