In states such as Massachusetts, where 35 percent of all jobs are directly or indirectly tied to the tech sector, there are also worries about the broader economic impact of the administration’s policies. Mohamad Ali, the CEO of Carbonite, which is headquartered in Boston and provides data protection software and services, says many of his foreign-born employees who are working in the U.S. have expressed fears about overseas travel.
