In many ways, our text for this Sunday (Hebrews 12:18-29) can be seen as a final summary statement—a conclusion to the preacher's long argument that Jesus is better than the Mosaic system his congregation left behind. Included in this summary statement is a helpful comparison of the old covenant and new covenant, as well as an illustration of the difference being part of the new covenant makes to our worship.
