Where is authority?

1. Authority is everywhere.
2. God is everywhere. It is up.to you to discern Him wherever He can be found.

Romans 13 says there are two levels of authority. Higher and lower.

HIGHER AUTHORITY

1. God - father, son and Holy spirit.
2. Conscious because God is in me. The breath of God in me. 2nd Tim 1:3 pure and impure conscience. You keep your conscience pure by listening to it regularly. Only a pure authority can be the voice of God.
3. Word of God who is a mirror. The truth of God in the word.

LOWER AUTHORITY

1. Delegated: parent, first born, president, when in the will of God is equal to God himself.
2. Contractual agreements. Written authority: sale agreements,
3. Functional authority. e.g. A doctor treating. God gives gifts to men so that His authority can flow to those people.
4. Customary authority. American, British, Jews Acts 25: 8

How do we benefit from authority?

1. Matthew 8, Jesus commended the centurion for quoting his submission of authority.
2. If you submit, you will progress. Authority is God. It cannot be grabbed but it can be tapped into.
3. Submit, we exercise authority by being under authority.
4. Submit one to another.
5. Prayer positions, it doesn't amplify.
