I have decided that for the next 5 or so Sundays to look at some selected Psalms in the sermons. Given the crazy world we are living in, and the polarized reaction to that of many people in our society, I think we need to bring our focus back where it belongs - our God, and having faith in our God. Many of the Psalms speak to that. Today, we will be looking at Psalm 2. In this Psalm, the Psalmist is looking around at the nations of his time and their anti-God rhetoric, and writes this in response. It is a good Psalm to remind us that indeed God is in control. The title of the sermon is Our God Is In Control. The Scripture reading is Psalm 2:1 12.
