The ltd series traction hoist or elevator hoist are considered to be such devices which are used either for lifting or lowering of a load specifically by means of drum or else lift wheel around which the chain or rope wraps. So, these can be pneumatically, electrically driven or manually operated. They may specifically use fibre, chain or wire rope as its lifting medium. In this regard, an elevator is considered to be the most familiar form and the car of which is lowered and raised by a hoist mechanism.
