Hanging gondola is specifically meant for cable transport i.e. it is a type of aerial lift that is supported and also propelled by the cables from above. So, this electric gondola or motorized gondola consists of a loop of steel cable which is strung in between two stations. Often, these are considered to be continuous systems as a haul rope is featured in this system which circulates and moves around two terminal stations.
