 APICALLY DISPLACED FLAP
o It is almost impossible to perform on maxillary lingual area.
o Advantage- it convert unattached gingiva to attached gingiva **
o Indication —
 increase width of attached gingiva
 No pocket formation
o Disadvantage —
 Cannot be used in anterior aesthetic zone
 Coz root visibillity

 CORONALLY AND LATERALLY DISPLACED FLAP
o Indication – to correct resection
o Disadvantage – pocket formation
