In 2009 Rottler & Deer remixed ‘Le Flaneur’ by Estroe featuring Miss Kittin. Rottler started a dialog based on the lyrics by Miss Kittin, while Deer rolled out a beautiful melodic layer. Now, a decade later the story of this collaboration is taking a next episode. Estroe remixed ‘Epizentrum’ a song from Rottler’s band Lenin Riefenstahl. Estroe translated the lyrics in Dutch, sang the lyrics herself, gave fuck on her shoulder injury and belt on her bass guitar. The result is stunning… a dreamy, laid back, melancholic electronic acoustic moody track that will hopefully enchant you.

This is Estroe’s description of the remix: “ When rottler asked me to do a remix and pick a track from their album I chose Epizentrum as my favorite because I was instantly drawn into the moody and melancholic vibe and thought I could work with that athmosphere. When Rottler told me that he was looking for a vocalist for my remix I thought ‘ why not try myself?’ Lately I have been making baby steps with experimenting with my own voice. The remix took a little longer because I wanted to make sure that my vocal achievement was complementary to the music arrangement and to professional standards. So i asked several singers and colleague music teachers from the music conservatory where I work for feedback until I was convinced that I could send it to Rottler. I felt extra pressure because of the remix he and Deer made of Le Flaneur, it’s one of the most beautiful remixes ever made of my music so I wanted to return the favor by delivering something extra special. And to my relieve he loved the result. I also played the (basic) bass line with my own bass guitar, so this a project with two debut elements which makes it even more exciting to present it to the world.”
