On Friday, October 27th, 2017, I was honored to be on the opening roster, along with my good buddy and fellow Seattle Trance DJ, Derrick Gennrich, for one of my personal favorite Trance DJ/Producers from yesteryear, an Irish Trance DJ/Producer visiting Seattle all the way from Wales, Mr. PURE himself, Richard Mowatt, commonly known as SOLARSTONE, at the Underground. This is actually the 2nd time I was lucky enough to open for Richard, and just like the first time, it was extremely humbling to share the decks with such a Trance legend, and whom also happens to be a very humble and engaging guy in spite of his fame. It was an absolutely awesome night, the Friday of Halloween weekend, so there were lots of Solarstone fans and friends of mine in the audience, many with their Halloween costumes on, incredible vibes throughout the entire evening, and Richard ended up playing an absolutely mesmerizing set into the after hours nearly until the sun rose the next morning. I had the early 10-11 pm opening spot so set out to play a beautiful and melodic progressive set with some Trancey overtones here and there to set the evening up right.
