On Friday, April 22nd, I was truly honored to be on the opening line-up for world-renown Trance Pioneer, Record Producer, and DJ from the UK, SOLARSTONE, at the Sounds of Trance show at the Underground, Seattle. This was one of those times where I had to make sure I wasn’t dreaming because I have been a fan of Solarstone and the Pure Trance show for such a long time, some of my very earliest Trance CD’s in the 90’s were Solarstone, and to get to play on the same stage and actually meet him was just a dream-come-true for me. In his own words: "Pure Trance is a feeling, a passion which exists outside of contemporary musical fads and fashions, It is the bringing together of millions of fans for whom this music is a way of life.” - Solarstone. ..And that night was just so amazing, sold out show, everyone there was a fan, and Solarstone’s set was pure magic to behold live. I also got to spin with two of my good buddies, Erik Anderson, a.k.a. BEEFER, as well as the promoter of the show, Marc Pospisil, a.k.a. MARQ, so it was a totally awesome night from beginning to end. I only had 45 minutes for this one so tried to lay down some reasonably chill and uplifting tracks to set the stage for Solarstone, but I got a lot of pats on the back, hugs and handshakes afterwards, which is always so appreciated.
