So here we have it: the final plate of the Exit 100 series. I’ve been immensely proud of this project, and I believe this release is a fitting way to conclude it. We’ve curated a collection full of great music from artists I love, and I’m pleased that we’ve created a project that represents Exit’s future rather than its past.

BUY VINYL/DIGITAL - https://exitrecordsuk.bandcamp.com/album/exitminilp005-leftlow-distractions-mini-lpSTREAM https://ingrv.es/distractions-gxt-vLeftlow’s ‘Distractions’ is a thought-provoking Mini LP which is the London-based duo's largest body of work to date and sees them welcomed to dBridge's iconic label, Exit Records.Dedicated to the late Bailey Churchill, these tracks are filled with prophetic sounds alluding to an apocalyptic destiny, evoking deep and complex thoughts about the world around us.Designed to be experienced in a club setting with a focus on low end and intricate percussion, the fluidity of these tracks and underlying theme throughout make for an equally enjoyable and intimate "headphones on" experience. From the industrial, dystopian hard-hitter "Piston's" to the dreamy, euphoric "Thoughtful," these tracks shine a light on a slightly different production style that Leftlow has not yet explored in previous releases. While staying true to their recognisable style, the drum-fueled "Green Eyes" and mind and body twisting "Queasy" push boundaries in the unexplored territories of their sound. This is a must-listen collection of tracks that will provoke the senses.

Mix by Madison Willing

"I kind of wanted to make a mix for myself digging into my older crates of beats I hadn’t heard in a few years, mixed with some of my favourite soul and jazz jams, and other electronic synthy bits to explain where the sound of the ‘Kuntur’ EP comes from. I think it’s funny some of the tracks kind of turn themselves inside out rhythmically whilst remaining in tempo."

Chincy was made on a kitchen table using an Akai MPC3000, Moog Sub37 and a Korg Minilogue for hardware; plugged into a Midas Venice mixer, Crane Song STC-1, Thermionic Culture Rooster and Focusrite pre-amps for recording. Vocals by Chicago. Subs by car system tests. 808 by 808. Fingers by Landstrumm.

The tracks are live jams but they aren’t that cheap to make. No hunching over a computer for weeks on end. One take, one mistake. Just jamming on gear after listening to Mantronix , Dre’s The Chronic and many many UK hardcore records. Pizza Pie on speed dial and Mr X for nighttime sessions for added UK swagger. Recorded in a forest with a swampy back garden. 145 is the common thread of ‘Chincy’ and ‘Eighty Four’ with a 160 diversion for equal measure on ‘Cutlass’.

Exit Records is proud to welcome back Jack Stevens aka https://soundcloud.com/workforce_uk to the family, ten years after his previous incarnation SpectraSoul delivered the classic Melodies / Insignia release.

The 'Your Moves EP' will be Workforce's third release overall and the first release to appear on a different label other than his native, Must Make Music outlet.

In a short time Workforce has already carved out a strong identity in the music he is releasing. There are values, details and characteristics that set his work apart from anyone else. This singularity is of course underpinned by a sense of function, a thread that connects all of his work.

On Your Moves EP, we are given six tracks that further the Workforce mission, a confident and assured release from Jack Stevens that will no doubt be held in as high regard from peers and listeners alike.
