Description: This work is a Concerto for Solo Violin. Inspiration for this project came from our having seen Nicola Benedetti perform the U. S. Premier of "Lalishri for Solo Violin and Strings" composed by Sir John Tavener, on our birthday, March 27, 2009 (#56).

Benedetti played the haunting violin solo from Tavener's work with the Kansas City Symphony conducted by internationally famous conductor, Michael Stern. Kanako Ito is the Concertmistress of the Kansas City Symphony. Tavener's music was ethereal and magnificently played by both Nicola Benedetti and the world-class Kansas City Symphony!

We dedicated this work to both Kanako Ito and Nicola Benedetti, both of whom are superb violinists.
